MOUNOKOLPO
Reverberance of Silence
A Charity Art Exhibition by 56 Renowned Artists

“Ekphrasis” is an ancient Greek term referring to the vivid, often dramatic, verbal description of a visual work of art, serving as a bridge between the visual and literary arts. This allows one medium to amplify and illuminate the other. In the context of our exhibition, ekphrasis becomes a powerful tool to articulate the unspoken narratives embedded within the artworks — resonating with silence and the reverberations of narrations.

The exhibition juxtaposes the glimmer of hope for the future with sorrow and hollowness that permeates society. Each artwork becomes a poignant narrative that reveals the silent struggles and unvoiced emotions of our time, while also offering a vision of resilience and renewal.

An artist and educator, Dewan Mizan — battled cancer and passed away in June 2023. This exhibition is a charitable event organized by Edge Gallery to honor the legacy of the late artist and raise funds for his family.
