ANUKUL CHANDRA MOJUMDER
Anukul Chandra Mojumder is a renowned young painter who was born in 1974 in Bagerhat. He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, where he perfected his skills in drawing and painting and discovered his own voice among his peers. Anukul Chandra has held twelve solo exhibitions worldwide, each creating an opportunity for him to demonstrate his artistic might and the evolution of the trajectory he is now known for. His paintings are developed using a mix of conventional and idiosyncratic techniques while offering a glimpse into the traditional life of the community in Bagerhat he was born into and now in Dhaka where he lives and work. He works have been widely exhibited, including a number of solo painting exhibition at the Gallery Shilpangan, the Nordic Club, and Canadian Club in Dhaka. Dhaka. He was part of many group exhibitions, including an array of prestigious space such as Art Complex Centre in Tokyo, Japan, Birla Academy of Art and Culture in Kolkata, India, an exhibition of Bangladeshi's art in Poland, Organized by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. His art has been collected by famous institutions such as Bay Developments Ltd, the Bengal Foundation, Bangladesh Bank and the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Aunukul Chandra Mojumder's art can be found in prestigious private collections at home and abroad.
