MD TOKON

Md Tokon was born in 1978 in Jhenaidah, Bangladesh. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2000 from the Institute of Fine Arts, now Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. Md Tokon has been living in the United States for the last twenty four years where he had attended the prestigious Art Students League of New York, an institution where many noted American artists are now alumni. He also obtained his bachelor degree in studio art and design at the City University of New York. Recently, his works have been exhibited at Queens Museum of Art, New York, Hammond Museum, North Salem, New York, Jacob K Javits Convention Center, New York, John David Mooney Foundation, Chicago, among others. He has also been part of many art fairs, including Art Southampton and Dhaka Art Summit. He also exhibited at the Bengal Foundation, Dhaka. He had his grand solo exhibition at Edge Gallery in the year 2023. Md Tokon has also been represented by Bonhams Auction House, London, Trimper Gallery, Greenwich, Connecticut and the White Room Gallery, Bridgehampton, New York.
